Stanford Pre-Collegiate International Programs

Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies collaborates with academic organizations worldwide to provide innovative educational and multicultural opportunities to academically talented middle-school and high-school students around the globe.

Our International Offerings

We operate two distinct programs specifically geared toward international students. Stanford Pre-Collegiate International Institutes takes place on Stanford University’s campus, while Stanford Honors Academies takes place in various locations around the world.
On Campus or Abroad
Our collaborating organizations bring students to Stanford for International Institutes and host Honors Academies abroad to bring Stanford to students.
International Institutes Format
At Stanford Pre-Collegiate International Institutes, offered to grades 9–11, participants are introduced to 12–14 topics through half-day workshops.
Honors Academies Format
At Stanford Honors Academies, offered to grades 6–11, participants take a two-week intensive course focusing on a single topic.
An Advanced Curriculum
With topics like Artificial Intelligence and Visual Storytelling, both programs emphasize course topics that are rarely found in traditional school settings.
